Regardless of the occasion ... the Scheune Varel is always worth a recommendation. For family dinners, rendezvous, business lunches or simply a freshly tapped beer after work with colleagues. I am a very critical but fair guest with my "gourmet palate" and have tasted almost every dish on the menu. Compressed: The Varel Barn is always a good choice. Very friendly staff in an elegant and very pleasant atmosphere. I would recommend it to everyone. Keep it up ?

Service is very friendly and quite attentive. The obligatory "two bite check" was missing completely. The food is, if you advertise with the first place in "My local, your local", rather average. Then a skewer can't be dry either, and it was definitely mine. I didn't eat it, the rest was good and subtly seasoned. All in all, it was a nice evening in a welcoming atmosphere, but there is definitely room for improvement. However, thanks to the dry skewer and sandy salad, I cannot give more than three stars. P.S. The salads were equally sandy for all of us.

Excellent food and great service. We spontaneously went to the barn on Saturday evening and got a table without a reservation. The restaurant is very nicely and coherently furnished. The map is manageable, but is enough. There are also some vegetarian dishes. Everything was delicious and the price / performance ratio is also very good.
